Cardi B’s biggest year yet: pregnancy, new album and arena tour
Cardi B is stepping back into the spotlight with more than music on her mind.
The Grammy-winning rapper confirmed she is pregnant with her fourth child during an exclusive interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, sharing the news as she prepares to release her highly anticipated sophomore album and hit the road for her first arena tour in nearly a decade.
She announced her child’s father is New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who has a daughter, Nova, born in 2016 from a previous relationship.
The announcement follows weeks of speculation after fans noticed what appeared to be a baby bump during Cardi’s recent court appearances. In August, the rapper faced a civil lawsuit from former security guard Emani Ellis, who alleged a 2018 fingernail attack and sought $24 million in damages. A jury found Cardi not liable.
Her due date comes just months before she is scheduled to launch her “Little Miss Drama” arena tour in February 2026. The tour is expected to showcase her highly anticipated sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, which drops Friday, Sept. 19, 2025.
The project is her first studio release since Invasion of Privacy in 2018, the Grammy-winning debut that cemented her place as one of hip-hop’s most influential artists. The new record blends fresh material with fan favorites like “WAP” and “Up” and features collaborations with Janet Jackson, Lizzo and Megan Thee Stallion.
